I purchased this 6″ globe from an observatory gift shop. I have to admit its pricy but the smaller version just cant do justice to our beautiful planet. I’m happy with my purchase and glad that I got the satellite version vs. the globes with countries defined. After all, borders change.

Saw this in a gift shop of a museum. As an engineer I was completely captivated by how it works. Wife bought it for my birthday and it now sits on my office desk and puzzles the other engineers on how it works.

I first saw the Satellite view MOVA rotating globe at my wife’s ophthalmologists office and was captivated by its design, beauty and function. Apparently my wife became aware of my enthusiasm and I received the Satellite globe as a birthday gift where it now sits on my desk for me to admire as my own.

I purchase the 4.5″ for a gift and 6″ version for home. They really project a futuristic impression. A week later I decided to order two more satellite globes for 5 year service awards for my employees. We are using the crystal base for the logo and award message impression. I’ll bet they will be big hits at the office.

This is great. I had an older Earth, with darker blue oceans, and no text or cloud cover. My nephew dropped it on the hard wood floor. It did not break, but it did develop a rather large bubble which degraded its performance. I called Janet, at Mova, who had a repair option when I first purchased my globe almost 4 years ago. She was very nice, and told me that they do not repair the globes any longer but for $81.00, I could replace the globe with a new one, and it would ship free. I chose to do that. I got this globe, as the one I was replacing had been discontinued. I received it very quickly, and it is on my coffee table. A week later I found a Jupiter Mova globe at another website on sale for $79.00 with free shipping. I jumped on that, and now I have the beautiful Earth, and Jupiter on the coffee table with my 1:200 scale NASA 747 with the Space Shuttle Atlantis aboard, and my 1:200 Air Force One. I am a space nut. I have a 5 1/2 foot Saturn five less than 10 feet away, as well as about 40 other NASA models, as well as a few Star Wars, and Star Trek items. I even have a Buzz Light Year, and a couple of Wall-e, and Eve models as well. I am looking forward to my next globe which I just found for $104.99 on line with free shipping as well. I can,t wait for Christmas, the Moon is next.

I admired this in a gift shop with my daughter present. She surprised me with it a week later and all I want to do is sit and watch it. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever owned.
